The two boxers finally face off on Saturday night at the Manchester Arena in a highly anticipated clash on the undercard to Anthony Joshua v Eric Molina.
The British pair are no strangers to controversy, with Chisora and Whyte having to be separated whilst they filmed an explosive episode of ‘The Gloves Are Off’ for Sky Sports.
During filming, Chisora threw a glass of water over his rival, sparking a conflict.
Speaking about their scuffle in today’s press conference, Whyte claimed he hit Chisora three times, before ‘Del Boy’ bit him on the chest in retaliation.
Chisora has claimed in the past that Whyte has made threats on his life and after throwing the table he could be heard to shout: “You want to threaten my life?” whilst the opponents were kept apart by several security guards.
The pair’s feud is believed to go back years to when they used to spar in gym sessions, with Whyte claiming he regularly “put the beat down on him [Chisora]”.
However, the rivalry really came to life after Whyte’s loss to Anthony Joshua last year, when the pair clashed in the dressing room after the fight.
The pair have since clashed in public and exchanged insults on Twitter several times in the lead up to Saturday.
Speaking to Sky Sports an hour after the incident had taken place, Chisora claimed he was “chilled”, whilst Whyte called him “crazy” and “unpredictable”.
