AFTER years of speculation, it was finally announced that Rockstar will produce the second game of the long loved series Red Dead Redemption.
Very little has been suggested in terms of game play. All that has been revealed is that there will be multiplayer game play and if it will be anything like their biggest success story GTA V we’re all in for one hell of a ride.
“An epic tale of life in America’s unforgiving heartland, the game’s vast and atmospheric world will also provide the foundation for a brand new online multiplayer experience”
The possibility of a new game has been speculated for a while. This week the internet exploded when all Rockstar social media accounts changed their profile pictures from the original logo to a Red Dead themed version of the logo.
A popular game world-wide, gamers everywhere have anticipated the heavily hinted arrival of a sequel, prequel or even a remake.
It was hinted at as far back as 2012 where there were prospects of another Red Dead Redemption in the making, however there was a lack of evidence, and nothing seemed to have come of these rumours over the following months.
The long wait was then justified by the franchises developer, Strauss Zenlick, who explained that Red Dead redemption is a ‘permanent franchise’ and he did want risk ‘bulking up the release schedule’. This kept the rumours running for the possibility of a new game, and now 4 years later we have finally heard more news.
Other trickling rumours has made the possibility more imminent, for example the image that appeared earlier this year of a building concept in what seems like a Red Dead redemption landscape was leaked from an x-developer’s computer.
